The Story Behind The Cap

A Proud Scottish Legacy

Those who know caps, know what it means to own a cap made with Harris Tweed®. It's our honor to design with their wool, you'll be proud to own one. The Cavalier is a nod to history, using a fabric known for it's legacy and proud roots.

"A classic design for today's style."

The Cavalier is a tribute to one of the world’s most celebrated textiles. Made of 100% high quality Harris Tweed® wool, this cap pays homage to the heritage of the style and the history that is deeply rooted in this iconic fabric. Designed for cool to cold weather, it’s a versatile piece that looks just as sharp at casual gatherings as it does at formal occasions. More than a cap, it represents a connection to centuries of Scottish weaving tradition and the communities that continue to uphold it.

PLEASE NOTE: Color and weave may very, these are hand woven fabrics that have some variations batch to batch.

SIZING TIP:
Because of the thickness of the wool, this cap may feel more snug than some of our other caps in a similar size. If in between sizes, sizing up may produce the best fit.

Our caps are sized in CMs to get the best fit. For help measuring your head, reference this step-by-step guide.

Step 2: Double check to make sure the tape comes down far enough at the back of your head, hitting in the right spot.

Step 3: Take note of your measurement in CMs. If using a string or cord, mark where it meets so you can measure it using a traditional tape measure.

Step 4: Refer to the sizing chart above to see where you land.

For our comfort fit flex back caps, we always recommend sizing down. For our fitted caps, size up for a loose fit and size down if you prefer snug. Caps will usually stretch slightly, but rarely do they shrink.

Unfortunately, there is no universal sizing, so a Medium for one brand might be a Small for another. We highly recommend you measure your head to ensure you have an accurate size before ordering from Peaky Hat.

All of our caps are warehoused and shipped directly from Peoria, Illinois. If you place your order Monday through Friday before noon Eastern time, it ships out the exact same day.

We offer a 45-day window for returns and exchanges. Buying a cap online should be rewarding and enjoyable, not a risk. There is a $5 exchange fee and a $10 refund fee. If you ever have an issue, reach out to support@peakyhat.com and Ryan will handle it personally.

Our fabrics are sourced globally—from US mills to Scottish Harris Tweed and UK linens. The final stitching is done by a highly skilled team in Yiwu, China (the same district that produces caps for Stetson and Goorin Bros). We are completely transparent about this because we choose quality over optics, every time.
